“I used to work in dangerous places, and people who moved survived, and those that didn’t . . . Movement is life. Movement is life.”
— World War Z
Human incarnation has many difficult passages. Birth may be traumatic, and other phases of life have their difficulties. Don’t fall for the cultural programming that tells you the path should always be warm and carpeted. Feeling bad for finding yourself on a winter pathway is like drinking ice water when you are already chilled. Accept where you are, where so many of your brothers and sisters are, and keep walking! Standing still on a winter pathway does not work. Summon vitality and keep moving! Do not withhold yourself, retreat, or surrender to inertia — take action and keep moving forward on the open avenues of possibility (as compared to getting hung up on those that are closed).
When you travel a winter pathway with fully engaged vitality, it can feel like summer within your winter clothes.
