Card #175 – Stagnation

This may be a propitious time to break out of an area of your life that is caught in stagnation.

All organisms tend toward homeostasis, a dialed in equilibrium that helps to preserve bodily health. The human psyche has this conservative tendency as well, but after a certain necessary stability is achieved the homeostatic tendency becomes psychologically and spiritually unhealthy and stagnant. As the Dylan lyric puts it,”He not busy being born is busy dying.”

This is a good time to be busy being born.
